Creating Sacred Space With Quan Yin

For spiritual guidance and support, we can connect with the gods and goddesses of different cultures throughout history. Quan Yin is the Asian goddess of mercy and compassion. Her name means “she who hears the cries of the world.” She is beloved by all in the Buddhist tradition, with many Asian temples dedicated to her. Quan Yin is available for all who are drawn to her, regardless of cultural or religious backgrounds. The connection is made by simply invoking her from our hearts. She can help with prosperity, protection, fertility, healing, spiritual awakening and so much more.

Message from Quan Yin: She asks that we create sacred space by making altars in our homes and offices. They don’t have to be ornate, complicated or large. A simple corner in a bookcase or even in a closet will do. It’s the intention that matters. Items to consider for our altars are candles, flowers, photos or statues of our guides, feathers, crystals, or anything that touches our hearts. An altar is a place where we can meditate, pray or read spiritual books. It’s purpose is to remind us of our spiritual connection, as well as to create beauty and bring a sense of peace and serenity. Quan Yin says that even if we just catch a glimpse of our altar out of the corner of our eye throughout the day, it sparks a remembrance of our divinity which is more powerful and important than we realize, helping to move our attention from our busy heads to our sacred hearts.
